I stood up from my bed after looking at the time which read 7 o’clock,
reluctantly standing and walking to the door with half closed eyes hitting my
leg on a stool in the process which made Nina growl in my head. I went
downstairs to go about my daily chores vacuuming, cleaning dusting and laundry
with Roshni my Alsatian pet dog trailing after me, after this I took my bath
and prepared pancakes to eat while giving Roshni her food to eat, while doing
this the doorbell rang making me look up in surprise, who could that be because
my house was in a secluded place far from town in Alaska, a place where I could hide out from my
past I never had human contact unless I went to town to get groceries.
Abandoning my food and going to the door with Roshni trailing behind me I opened the door and was shocked to be faced with a
boy no older than fourteen years, he looked cold and starved and the minute he
saw me he fainted. Shock was the first emotion that rippled through me before
my senses kicked in and I went about bringing him in, taking off his soaked
clothes and putting an electric blanket on him. By the time I was done I packed
all I used and went up to get hoodie and boxer for him to wear since he was so
skinny and under fed the hoodie would fit him, getting downstairs horror set in
because where I left the boy a huge canine was in its place, a wolf to be exact
and the only thing running through my mind was for him to wake up and get out
of my house as soon as possible which my wolf growled at in disagreement, well
that a first Nina and I never disagreed, my thoughts were cut short when I
noticed that despite the fur he was shivering so put
an extra blanket on him while Roshni curled up next to him. I disposed my meal
into the trashcan after losing my appetite, went to my desk and prepared to do
some work but I kept getting distracted so I decided to focus and deal with the
wolf boy problem when he wakes up.
When night set in I set up a chair a bit
further from the still sleeping wolf and paid notice to it, the fur was white
which meant he would have white hair or almost white blond but still it was
rare and only three of the eight original families bore the special and rare
trait, one was extinct and if he was related to any of the remaining two I
really wanted nothing to do with him. He started shivering again to my surprise
wolfs age seventeen downwards when cold craved their mothers warmth to help
recover faster and better but if she wasn't nearby a sister could
substitute and if none of the females related
by blood or bond were available the wolf would suck it up and have to do it
alone but there was no other female here and the fact that Roshni wasn't enough
to warm him was glaring so I decided grudgingly to do it after all the earlier
he woke the earlier he left and the better for me. Taking off my clothes I
morphed into my wolf and curled up next to him till he stopped shivering, well
I really didn't think it would work that fast since I’m not related to him it
should take his wolf some time to get used to me before deciding to trust me
but who am I to complain anyway the speed of his recovery dictates how soon I
can be alone again feeling him stir I quickly changed back and put my clothes on.
I waited for him to change then threw the hoodie and boxer at him, when he was
settled I gave him food and hot tea deciding to let him get his bearings before
questioning him he said a small thank you and started eating while I sat back
and observed him, he had a shock of white hair identical to mine which was
currently coated in red dye, deep blue eyes and was seriously not looking
healthy. “What’s your name?”
